It's been a bad enough week, from the idiots taking hold of the House, and too many other important elections going the wrong way. I figured that after the dust settled, we could focus on what to do to try and fix this mess, get ready for 2012 and all of that. It's rather hard to focus, though, when comment sections focusing on states like Wisconsin are littered with comments like the following (collected from the two recommended diaries by jer45):
I say to... (3+ / 0-)
Wisconsin, Ohio, and Florida what I said to Virginia and New Jersey...you get what you elect.
The people of WI deserve to get what they voted (2+ / 0-)
for.
For fuck sakes I would kill to have Feingold (11+ / 1-)
as my Senator. Those assholes in Wisconsin deserve what they get.
Not just California (66+ / 0-)
Washington and Oregon too would benefit. Imagine a Seattle to San Diego High Speed rail, or better a border to border system. Hey Wisconsin join Ohio and Pennsylvania, ask Rush or Glenn if they can spare you a quarter. When I hear the whining and mewing from the Angry White Guys(like that popular blog), here is how I am going to answer them.
THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR VOTING REPUBLICAN, DUMBASS!!!!
screw wisconsin (21+ / 0-)
they voted for the assholes. so send the money where sane people live. like california or new york or illinois or nevada or deleware or connecticut.
they would be happy to put those funds to good use.
And so on and so forth. Yes, I understand that there's some disbelief of people voting out Feingold over Johnson, and Walker being Grade A scum, and all of that, but not everyone in the state voted for the rethugs. My county stayed blue, and we're a smaller county.
Piling on all the people for what a small majority did doesn't help anyone. We need to instead focus on what we can do to try and stop the newly elected dimwits from damaging the states and the country as a whole.
Meanwhile, in real news, though I'm sure this is old, per http://host.madison.com/...
After the main part of the story about Feingold not running, in regards to perpetual snake-in-the-grass Ron Johnson...
...his campaign said he planned to prepare to take public office out of the public eye.
The media-shy plastics-company owner gave what may have been his last press conference before becoming Wisconsin's newest senator in Oshkosh Wednesday. Johnson, 55, reiterated plans to fight the new health care law and to block further stimulus funding.
Johnson spokeswoman Sara Sendek said late Tuesday that Johnson would spend the next several weeks "assembling a team" and would be "unavailable for media interviews."
Not surprising to me in the least. Don't tell us what your plans are, and count on enough angry, disillusioned people to take a chance on you with the promise of telling us what you're doing when you get elected. Then turn around and break that promise. You're not even a Senator yet and you're lying.
It's going to be a long 6 years with PlasticMan representing us at this rate.
