Apparently taking back their country will come in baby steps:
Now this is interesting: With many wondering how the House Republican leadership will accomodate the newly elected House GOPers who are soon to arrive in Washington, many of whom are Tea Party-backed, I'm told the leadership has hit on a solution. They are creating a new leadership post: Representative of the incoming freshman class ...
In another nod to the incoming freshmen Republicans, the position will be elected by only those freshmen, not the leadership.
And now that the teahadist wing of the Republican Party has been taken care of with a two year, meaningless title -- since Boehner & Company obviously have no interest in ceding any real power the upstarts within their party -- the leadership can get back to the business of governing.
Governing which so far seems to revolve around promises to hold investigations and limiting how much time is spent on naming post offices. Because there's still no word on how they plan to shrink the government, slash the deficit, cut taxes and create jobs.
