To bail out those that led us down to the Road of Perdition? Fuck that shit.
Does that make you all feel 'real Pragmatic'? To have the Audacity of Hope, to tell your own fellow Democrats, to STFU, and don't rock the boat, because in the end, what matters most is that 'we must win'?
Who do you think we have won? The Republicans are getting away with 'Blackmailing our nation and our President' and what he refusing to stand up to that? Oh, right, the Cat Food Commission. The next two to three years of the Bush extended Tax cuts, who robbed us blind in the Great Heist of 2008, and about to rob us blind, again. Such a deal, such a lie, such a pragmatic bullshit argument, such is the total rationalization, and coward politics, that play into the argument of not why the Republicans are getting away with destroying our nation, as sanctioned by the lies we continue to tell ourselves.
Fed reveals scope of use of emergency aid programs during financial crisis
Jeannine Aversa, The Associated Press Dec 01, 2010 16:31:40 PM
WASHINGTON - The U.S. Federal Reserve revealed details Wednesday of more than $3 trillion in emergency aid it provided to U.S. and foreign financial institutions — including all of Canada's major banks — during the financial crisis.
Newly released documents show that the most loan money over time went to Citigroup ($2.2 trillion), followed by Merrill Lynch ($2.1 trillion), Morgan Stanley ($2 trillion), Bank of America ($1.1 trillion), Bear Stearns ($960 billion), Goldman Sachs ($620 billion), JPMorgan Chase ($260 billion) and Wells Fargo ($150 billion). Many of the individual loans they took were worth billions and had short durations but were paid back and renewed many times. Merrill Lynch was later acquired by Bank of America, while Bear Stearns collapsed and was sold to JPMorgan. Among the largest foreign bank recipients were Bank of England, Swiss National Bank, Barclays and Bank of Japan.

But still I think in my heart for truth tellers on this site: that we were built on and 'used to respect and honor' are people like OPAL, and Dallas Doc, and Nyceves, an Bink, and bobswerve, and Pluto, and my old friend xanxado...(sorry if I spelled all you names wrong, I am dyslectic,) but that does not matter in this diary to me...
I think the only central questions are these:
Why do we believe ourselves? Keep dividing each other, without asking the courage to ask the real questions, why has that become the Ultimate Sin on this Site? When did that become ok? When did the word Pragmatic become just another Clinton triangulation to destroy what Reagan destroyed, when he sat out to destroy the Unions, beginning with Reagan?
Amidst the continued outpouring of praise for Ronald Reagan, let's not forget that he was one of the most anti-labor presidents in U.S. history, a role model for the virulently anti-labor George W. Buah, publican presidents never have had much regard for unions, which almost invariably have opposed their election. But until Reagan, no GOP president had dared to challenge labor's firm legal standing, gained through Democratic President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the mid-1930s.
Reagan's Republican predecessors treated union leaders much as they treated Democratic members of Congress -- as people to be fought with at times, but also as people to be bargained with at other times. But Reagan engaged in precious little bargaining. He waged almost continuous war against organized labor. He had little apparent reason to fear labor politically, with opinion polls at the time showing that unions were opposed by nearly half of all Americans and that nearly half of those who belonged to the unions had voted for him in 1980 and again in 1984.
Reagan,in any case, was a true ideologue of the anti-labor political right. Yes, he had been president of the Screen Actors Guild, but he was notoriously pro-management, leading the way to a strike-ending agreement in 1959 that greatly weakened the union and finally resigning under membership pressure before his term ended.

So called Democratic Pragmatists fools on this site,.are only making excuses for our own President now. How can they dare to abide to dare it all 'acceptable behavior when it never was and never shall be?'
Their rationalizations and lies, call for one was a great party to be to deeply silenced, who will never admit, ever who led us to this silent weak state of cowards, who were and are all being bought off, and still have the the moral destruction of the very poor of this nation:
these so called Democrats, call it all..........Legal....they call it all, the new law of the land, they dare to call it with not once with a fucking ounce of compassion for those that have paid the greatest cost of all..being a Pragmatic Democrat.
The message in these past few days has been clear: Don't rock the boat, don't questions President Obama's motives of policies, don't ask why, and above all, don't disagree with him, because it is perfectly ok that he is not and never had really fought for Main St./the Middle Class, and again and again does the same things: He hides behind the shadows, he sends out nothing more than 'trail balloons', he refuses to ever draw a line in the sand on any real issues, he refuses, to stand up for the millions of Americans: his base, the independents, the Reagan cross overs, the millions and millions that, most esp. the next two generations of new Democrats/Latinos/Gays and DADT who depended upon him, to fucking step up to the plate are all done with him. (Note I'm not even reading letting Bush/Cheney off of the War Crimes or Katrina or the horrifying BP destruction of the Gulf)..
Yes, I know the long list of what Obama has tied to pass, but this is has been nothing more than a bone with no meat on it. And yes, I know why none of this is being passed, and who is blocking his movements. He was never a progressive, and he was never capable of strong leadership. He had never been capable of real confrontation, and he never will be. Some may that call that pragmatic politics, I do not, and never will. Leadership requires and always does: and down a dirty knocking of heads together, it requires, true movement in our nation, it requires, not just a true agenda, a vision, a plan, but the fucking balls to know where you are going and why you are going there. It is an ends to a means, and the means for all great leaders to put country and the people of this nation first and foremost, not last and divided, and angry and confused. It requires, most of all, a President who does hand back in the shadows, when he was given the greatest mandate on a silver platter by the former great leaders of our Democratic party. The excuses have worn deceptively thin and no longer can hold true for this President.
The other argument is real: The Republicans don't give a shit anymore, and never did, and again, like I've said so many times: The Rules of Engagement Have Changed: We should have learned that when Bush stole the Presidency over Gore, and lied us into where we are now....When the Supreme Court gave the Corporations, a full vote as people..When Bernanke, gave a full tilt boogie to bail out all his friends, as during the last three months when Bush/Paulson left the White House...the Shock Doctrine......When time and time again, we Democrats, who are loving and decent people did not get the fucking message: The Republican cut throats are just that, they will use their fake Christian perverted family values, (hiding behind their own homophobic MIC coffers, and they will all bring down the Democratic party, most of all an African American President) The only thing the Tea Party Sarah Palin bullshit was all about was just another extension of Karl Rove and Fucking Dick Head Army (nothing more, nothing less hiding behind a new 'Woman's Army of where they were all going in the first place).
And it all got laid it all the most perfect candidate in our nation, a new transformational Candidate: who is he? that is my question to you tonight. Before you dare to call me a racist, then I suggest you read the most personal diary I ever did in my life on this site, because it was a very hard diary for me to write:

Thankful for My Dad Today, A True American Hero Who Taught Me About the Freedom Riders.
I know who I stand up for my party, I know who I am as a person. I've been fighting for my own party, the Democratic party for 4 decades. Like Meteor Blades, and OPOL, I marched for Civil Rights in the 60's. Like others on this site I marched for my brothers and sisters in the Vietnam War, like others in this site I marched for the Unions, like others on this site I marched for so much, and you know why?
I believe and will always believe that the Democratic Party is the best fucking thing that ever happened to our nation, ever....and no one can ever tell me different. It is always and shall always be bigger than any President we will ever elect. It is not about our candidates, or Presidents... it is about 'us'....and if we must never forget that.
There are a million reasons our party platform got lost in the fray of money, and those that no longer abide for the basic three pronged stool of government in a Democracy: Laws are based on ethics, morality and humanity. Somehow we lost all that. These basic qualities, are what maintains all civilized societies, the Greeks, Romans and other great societies understood this:
For any civilized society to survive, there must be a strong element of what is called the 'Public Trust'...otherwise, we simply fall into utter
chaos, destruction, anarchy, or deep, deep reactionary politics.
Here is another reality check:
I wish it were not so, I really do, but now I feel our own party has a great new choice to make, don't we?
What do you think that choice will be?
I welcome this debate, and...
I thank you as always..
Ms. B.
unless, but the real truth is President Obama, is either the biggest Sock Puppet of them all, or we are still waiting for him to accept his great, great destiny, of one last great President.
How dare they do this.
