Here are the basics: In 2007, Answers in Genesis (AIG) brought the anti-science, state of the art and purportedly non-profit "Creation Museum."to Northern Kentucky (a mere 7 miles from the Greater Cincinnati International Airport) Average attendance; one million/year.
On Wednesday, Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear joined AIG on the podium to announce a $125 million Creation Theme Park , brought to you by Ark Encounters LLC (a for-profit arm of AIG.)
It's troubling enough to see busloads of impressionable children frolic through the "museum" amongst animatronic dinosaurs who represent the supposed progeny of Noah's dinos or to see a child's eyes light up as he learns that the "(Great)Flood offered the better explanation of the (Grand) Canyon’s creation-that after the Flood, a lot of water and a little bit of time carved it out," or finally, to share a seat-rocking, water-squirting theater as they watch a slick Hollywood-like film, Men in White, touting how to back-talk their teachers and anyone else who dares to promote evolution.
But for me, nothing equals the horror of this video in which Governor Steve Beshear slobbers over these cretins of the Dark Age with promises of tax subsidies, all the while congratulating himself for managing to snag this gem.
Don't take my word. Watch the video and think about what the Constitution used to mean.
