I don't have tv, so, I've been waiting for a hours for this to post so I can watch the one person on tv that I wanted to see talk about this since Saturday.
When it went to the audience I had chills from my head to my toes. If you haven't already seen this you'll see what I'm saying when you watch. The look on the face of Lt. Col. Victor Fehrenbach is literally priceless. The look of still trying to reconcile the new reality after years of pain and struggle. I wish I could give the Lt. Col. a hug that says 'you don't have to be afraid of those people ruining your life anymore'.
After 2 years of majorities and the white house we finally got what I voted in hope for. I always knew it would happen. But I couldn't sleep the night before waiting until the morning to see it happen. The moment it reached 51 votes for the bill I raised my hands in the air straight up to cheer. And that's very not me to do that. But this time I couldn't stop myself. We still got it, folks. We can still do pure true good.
