This is JUST what the DADT repeal advocates need at this time.
Senator Mark Pryor has said that he now supports DADT repeal and wants the vote this year!!

Here is Mark Pryor's full statement:
"On many previous occasions, I have said that I would oppose repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell until I had heard from our servicemen and women regarding this policy," Pryor said in a brief statement this morning. "I have now carefully reviewed all of the findings, reports, and testimony from our armed forces on this matter and I accept the Pentagon's recommendations to repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
Say what you will about Senator Lieberman but he has been working TIRELESSLY to make sure that DADT repeal happens. He says that he has MORE than 60 votes for DADT repeal and with Senator Pryor now on board it looks like there may be all 58 Democrats FOR DADT repeal. With Susan Collins and Senator Brown on board that means there are 60 votes!!!
Senator Pryor has now stated that he will vote for cloture.
Pryor says he "will support procedural measures to bring it to a vote this year."
Harry Reid says that he may bring the Defense Authorization bill for a cloture vote today if the rest of the votes today for cloture are voted down.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) could attempt to bring the defense budget bill containing conditional repeal of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy to the Senate floor on Wednesday, a Senate source close to the discussions about the bill said early Wednesday.
Now ALL Democrats could be on board to vote for cloture on the Defense Act. All we need are two Republicans. Will Collins and Brown vote for cloture now that the tax deal has been done?
Stay tuned....
