Tough Shit!
That's what Senator Bunning has told the American people, who are praying that come Monday they can still receive the vital last source of income.
Tough Shit!
That's what Senator Bunning has told the American people struggling to find work, who need the vital last source of health coverage
Tough Shit!
Right now there are the unemployment rate in Kentucky is 10.4%. In state with only 4 Million+ residences, that is a big chunk of the work force.
There are people starving, surviving by the smallest of checks that come every two weeks. The max Unemployment benefits you can receive in Kentucky is $415 a week. Mattering where you live, that might not be nearly enough. But it is something. It's barely something, but it's all you have. But that tiny little bit of hope, the tiniest bit of security you have, it will be gone by Sunday, and Sen. Bunning has a message for you:
Tough Shit!
But don't worry, Senator Bunning feels your pain:
"I have missed the Kentucky-South Carolina game that started at 9:00," he said,
"and it's the only redeeming chance we had to beat South Carolina since they're the only team that has beat Kentucky this year.
See, him missing the Kentucky game is just as important as you losing your last ditch source of income. And even if you do end up starving, losing your home, and end up the street with nothing left, Sen. Bunning still wants you to know:
Tough Shit!
What about the COBRA benefits you have been using to keep your kid healthy as you can't find a job? Well Sen. Bunning just wanted to tell you:
Tough Shit!
How about getting Congress to pass a bill everyone loves, and everyone wants:
Tough Shit!
How about helping the American people, who are getting fed up with the government?
Tough Shit!
Or how about having a fucking soul and do the right thing so people don't starve to death because they have lost all their income, and all their belongs?
Tough SHIT!
Senator Bunning is not running for reelection this year, and I thank God! I don't care that a Republican will probably win the seat again, since Rand Paul ran on the Republican ticket, instead as a third party guy. I don't really care, along as it is no longer Jim Bunning sent to represent this state. He is a soulless, evil, vile creature, and should be sent back to the pits of hell he was spawned. There is not a person in that Congress, or this nation that thinks we should stop the UI and COBRA Benefits for people struggling to find work, for some obtuse reason, or just for political spite.
While this debate was going on, a debate that should never had been had, Senator Bunning decided that he should take it easy:
On the floor, Bunning leaned back in his chair, legs crossed, as he listened to a slew of Democratic senators talk about the bill he is blocking.
What kind sick bastard just seats back all happy go lucky in a padded chair, as he is blocking legislation that should be a no brainier, and would affect so many people if not passed?
The stakes are enormous: provisions of last year's stimulus bill that allow extra weeks of unemployment benefits and COBRA health coverage are set to expire on Feb. 28. State workforce agencies have already sent out letters informing recipients that they'll be ineligible for extra "tiers" of benefits starting next month. The National Employment Law Project estimates that 1.2 million people will prematurely lose benefits in March.
1.2 Million Americans. 1,200,000 American people could lose their benefits because of this jackass. Does he not understand how many people that is? Does he not understand the lives it would destroy? Does he not understand the people this may kill?
There may come a time one day when judgment will passed on Sen. Bunning, and I hope he that when he pleads his case, that he did this evil act for this reason, or that reason, I hope who ever is judging him looks down at his sorry ass, and says simply:
TOUGH SHIT!
