Should we call this masculism?
Its unfair to hold the entire right responsible for their most extreme members. Instapundit is a different story. He's certainly to the left of Ann Coulter, and as far as I'm concerned he's to the left of Fox News overall.
So I'm a little concerned to see Reynolds and Dr. Helen and Classical Values all pushing this video.
As a man, I can't help thinking Dr. Helen isn't doing us any favors. In the world before feminism, when it was even harder for women to get good jobs, it was even more important to marry a man who made a lot of money - sometimes whether you liked him or not. You can imagine what a treat this was for the man when the pretense grew thin. And, oh yes, if your wife can't get a decent job and you get laid off - that's the kind of stress that can reduce your life expectancy! Maybe the richest and most successful men had it better in the days before feminism, but I don't think most of the rest of us did. We're already seeing a resurgence of those books about how to marry a man with a big salary - and ultimately this is bad news for men no matter how much they earn. Ultimately you will be less happy with someone who loves you mostly for your salary - and in more danger of alimony.
They start out by observing that their spellcheckers recognize misogyny but not misandry. This proves - that Microsoft is run by women? No, that feminists are making women hate men and men distrust themselves. Or something.
You could go through the whole film and see how many distortions you can catch. I only feel like talking about a couple now.
You know that whole Deadbeat Dads thing? It started on Fox News, and conservatives loved it. Instead of single mothers getting help from the government, the fathers of their children were being force to take responsibility, and pay up.
Eventually the conservatives changed their mind, and Fox News compliantly sold the show. Henceforth Deadbeat Dads was anti-male, part of the feminist conspiracy. And now, it seems the feminist conspiracy birthed the idea with no help from Fox News.
Yet, they do have help. "The hatred of men serves a purpose for governments, charities, and large scale businesses."
So that's why all the best paying jobs are occupied by women!
Did you know men are unfairly targeted as being responsible for fatherless children? It's really the mothers who ... ummm.
All the statistics I've looked at indicate that female life expectancies have been slightly longer than male since before feminism because a political force - but the video blames this and male suicide (among other things) on feminism.
