In his dog fight interview/shouting match with Karl Rove on ABC he let the strategy for 2010 midterms slip.
The 2010 midterm election debate will be centered on the banks and financial reform with HCR being an in the pocket win for dems.
Watch the video starting at 4 min to 5 minutes.
Plouffe states with regard to the fall elections
"you've got the leader of the house republicans, who would be the speaker if they won, has been shaking down wall street saying hey we're the guys who are trying to protect you, to protect your pay"

My guess is that the dems have their Financial reform bill before the public when the midterms are coming and they make it a debate about who is going to fix banking....US or Them?
With the stimulus package and HCR under their belts as major accomplishments and financial reform as the ultimate Ballot measure/campaign issue I think we will be in pretty good shape.
What do you think about this strategery?
