I previoiusly published this under a differnt title and was amazed at the lack of response.
In reaction to the Tea Party rally in Arizona. I could not notice the Immigrant bashing and how to respond to these attacks.
Well Travis Edmonton did it years ago. Who is Travis Edmonton and what is significance, I beg your indulgence to explain

Travis Edmonton was part of duo called Bud and Travis. They were a late 50-60's Pre-Dylan Folk Duo. They specialty was the music of the South West. They would performs like "Anglita" and "Malaguena Salerosa"
They were way ahead of their time as there was no "World" and/or "International" music scene that this time.
The three clips I have enclosed are part of a special called "Border Crossing" telling the story of the Arizona/Mexico area that culturally/geographically/ one region.
In clip I he tells how the borders are artificial and many things like music goes through and that real South West Music comes not from Nashville but from Northern Mexico.
Clip II he tells of various aspects to ranch life and contains a wonderful song Vamos al Baile - Come to the Dance.
Clip III continues with the wonderful "Malaguena Salerosa" Salty love song
Whats my point? Why am I posting this? Because I believe culture precedes politics and the Tea Party/Minutemen/Sheriff Amparo/have no respect for the culture they live in and they can no more keep out the people than they can keep out the winds and butterflies from Mexico. They are there, they have been there and it is as much their land and culture as it is anyones

This is just for fun! I can't sing but I want to. Once I tried to sing with a Mariachi band in Kingston, NY and I made a damn fool of myself.
(and I wasn't drinking Tequila one glass of Sangria)
