Over the weekend, hundreds (perhaps thousands) of voters throughout Washington's 3rd Congressional District received automated "robo-calls" about health care reform. The calls are being generated by the NRCC in Washington D.C. and they're calling it the "code red" project.
According to the National Journal, they're targeting candidates - including me - who "have yet to take a position" on the health care bill.
No surprise: The Republicans in D.C. have their facts wrong.
It's time to pass health care reform. I am as disappointed as you are that we're still waiting. It's time to get the job done.
Let me be clear: I believe that Democrats in Congress should pass the bill, include a public option, and clear the procedural hurdles (including using the reconciliation process.) The time for debating parliamentary procedure is over. And the time for taking action on health care is now.
If you send me to Congress, you can count on me to never give up the fight for progressive values - including health care. Please join me in this fight, and make a donation to my campaign. Your help will make the difference.
