Just an update from across the pond, for my fellow election-starved Kossacks.
From an IPSOS-Mori poll out today for the Evening Standard:
CONSERVATIVES - 32%
LIBERAL DEMOCRATS - 32%
LABOUR - 28%
ALL OTHERS - 8%
Thanks to the first-past-the-post system, as has been discussed before, these numbers, if applied uniformly across Britain, would lead to this perverse situation in the House of Commons:
LABOUR - 275
CONSERVATIVES - 230
LIBERAL DEMOCRATS - 116
ALL OTHERS - 29
To win an overall majority, a party must have 326 seats. Obviously, nobody's even close right now.
