Okay, so I need a break from all the pie fights and virtual poo flinging. As far as I'm concerned, the best way to do that is share happy news.
The story starts with these two fur faces:
Kookie
and Gizmo.
See, their 'Dad' is in the Army and when he was stationed here, I would take care of them when he and his wife traveled. Well, 'Dad' got transferred and in the midst of moving chaos, Gizmo took advantage of the opportunity and finally got Kookie alone - if you get my drift. Once the move was complete and things settled down a bit, it finally became clear that Kookie was very pregnant. A visit to the vet confirmed she was carrying four little sweetfaces and was due the end of May. Kookie had other plans and ended up delivering at 3 in the morning on the 21st. Sadly, one did not survive, however, the remaining three are healthy and thriving.
'Mom' sent me this slide show today and I knew the first place to share them was here. Be prepared for massive amounts of cute. You also might want to lower your volume a bit as it can be loud.
PUPPIES!!!

So why the thank you? It's because the combination of caring for Kookie and Gizmo, plus the generous support from Kossacks launched a new business named Creature Comforts. The idea was to do 'in home' pet sitting so folks could leave their pets at home when they have to travel or give their pets a mid day 'break' if they work long hours.
I'm happy to report that the business is steadily growing. I now have two pretty regular daily clients, over half a dozen intermittent clients, and one single fella who just wanted the peace of mind of having someone 'on call' for his 12 year old Rottie, Bear. Calls for service are getting more frequent and my current clients are spreading the word to the folks they know.
This thank you is for helping this mortgage biz refugee find a way to make a living. That's a really big deal and I wanted to make sure you knew that it was appreciated.
