My name is Brian De Groodt and I am the organizer of the Million Postcard March on Washington D.C. My goal is to organize enough Americans to send over 1,000,000 postcards in opposition to the war in Iraq to George W. Bush and the Congress--we're now over 3,000 strong. I am asking for your support, too.
We believe the time has long passed for the American withdrawal from Iraq--if there ever was a justified time for being there (which we do not believe there was). American men and women are risking their lives (and sadly, over 2,026 have been lost). We need to take the message to Washington--Staying the course is not acceptable. The safety of our current and future generations is at stake and Mr. Bush and his administration must be clear that the American people are opposed to such wars.
I hope you'll take an interest in our campaign by spreading the word. You can read more at http://www.03202003.com.
Not only is the Bush administration suggesting staying the course is right, troop levels are now at an all-time high of over 161,000. These men and women need our voice to help them return safely to their friends and families.
October 2005 is now the 4 deadliest month for American soldiers since the war began and deadliest month since January 2005. Act now. http://www.03202003.com
Over 15,000 American men and women have been wounded in Iraq. Untold numbers of Iraqi citizens have been killed, wounded or displaced. This war is not creating a better world for "democracy to flourish."
Time is of the essence. Lives are on the line and a generation of ill will is crushing the future of America.
