In a 219-206 vote, the House passed the DISCLOSE Act. Two Republicans, Cao and Castle, joined Dems and 36 wholly owned subsidiaries of the Chamber of Commerce Dems (actually, there were a few liberals who just couldn't stomach the NRA cave-in, in addition to the Blue Dogs) voted with the Republicans.
While by no means perfect (see "NRA exemption") the bill will provide a level of transparency in political advertising that the Roberts' Court sneered at. It's a good start at very necessary reform.
Update: To weed out the good faith from bad faith Dem actors among those 36 voting "no," here's one possible test: voting both against the Affordable Care Act and against DISCLOSE. Those members would be: Barrow, Boren, Bright, Childers, Davis (TN), Herseth Sandlin, Holden, Kratovil, Marshall, McIntyre, Minnick, Nye, Peterson, and Taylor.
