As almost always, Tom Tomorrow hits the nail on it's head. Sorry for not posting the actual comic, I don't see code to post it here. And, in addition to making a salient point, he introduces us to "Chuckles, the Sensible Woodchuck!"
In this age of 'austerity,' it's good to be able to see a point made in such a way to give us a chuckle or two (well, at least I chuckled while reading it). Who knows, maybe this time it'll work (austerity didn't work during the early part of FDR's presidency). I do know that the unemployed probably won't be laughing all the way to the bank.
So, all hail Tom Tomorrow. Let's hope Chuckles doesn't have any other reasons to appear in This Modern World. Also, let's hope that the Third Depression isn't too deep and doesn't result in our leaders deciding that they need to expand our militar escapades to the entire world.
