After all the uproar created by Mark Kirk's official bio (that "Intelligence Officer of the Year" award that he said he got that doesn't exist, the deployments he said he'd been on that he hadn't, the claim that he was the only member of Congress to serve in Operation Iraqi Freedom when he wasn't), you'd think he would be rather dilligent in getting all that scrubbed off of the Internet.
Or not. Politico's Ben Smith checked this morning and there it was on his campaign Web site:
Oops.
After Smith's report, the campaign updated the page, which prominently features "Ethics and Reform" as the number two issue for Kirk. Huh.
A tip for the Kirk staff: the Google is your friend.
