Miami Dade Republican Party Chairman and Cuban republican hardliner David Rivera has been caught lying red-handed about his relationship with a controversial Miami businessman.
Marco Rubio's disciple, Chairman of the Miami Dade Republican Party and candidate for Congress, David Rivera, is being asked to step down after he lied on a Spanish language radio show about his relationship with Ariel Pereda, a South Florida businessman with financial interests in Cuba, saying he hasn't seen him in years.
Rivera told The Miami Herald that he and Pereda are merely acquaintances, which Rivera's own Florida State House republican colleagues laughed at.
However, a video has surfaced from none other than Rivera's own campaign website (you can't make this stuff up) that shows the controversial businessman at Rivera's campaign launch.
