By Jonathan Drobis, campaign manager of Jack Conway for U.S. Senate
On Monday, Jack Conway went to a rally marking the twentieth anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
He tells me it was an honor to be there, not just to celebrate that historic legislation -- passed by a Democratic Congress and signed by President George H.W. Bush -- but also to celebrate the opportunities it has opened for so many Americans.
Rand Paul was invited to the event, too, but amazingly he's said he opposes the ADA.

Apparently Rand Paul thinks Americans with disabilities, including service members injured in the line of duty, should limit their ambitions to the first floor.
Instead, he chose to hold a high-dollar fundraiser with President Bush's son Jeb, who tarnished a truly bright spot in his family's legacy by raising money for a candidate like Rand Paul.
What Rand Paul doesn't understand is that this isn't about elevators; it's about fundamental American values like equality, compassion, and opportunity.
Our team put together a video with news coverage and reactions from people with disabilities at Monday's events:
I know for many of you -- including almost everyone Jack talked to at Netroots Nation last week -- the prospect of Rand Paul joining the current lineup of Senate Republicans is a scary thought.
Please visit our petition at www.WhyStandWithRand.com calling on Jeb Bush to explain why he ignored his father's legacy by hosting a fundraiser for Rand Paul on the anniversary of the ADA. If you could help out our campaign with a contribution through ActBlue, I know Jack would really appreciate it. Thank you.
