I am all teary because we just watched the Bollywood movie, "My Name is Khan" which is just out on DVD. We got it from Netflix. Here's the link to the web page:

It was filmed in the U.S., but is in Urdu and English, the subtitles are a little small, but the filming is just gorgeous. It will give you a small idea of what it is like to live as a Muslim in America today, and also an everyday look at what it is like to live as a Muslim in America.
I can't recommend it highly enough, and yes, there's a fairy tale ending, which I wouldn't give away for the world but if you come to Daily Kos you will love it.
If you have a friend or relative that's all upset about someone saying prayers in the vicinity of Ground Zero issue them a challenge to watch this movie. Make a bet that they will feel differently after watching it. I know that you will.
Video after the fold:
Let's see if I can embed the trailer, shall we?
Whoops, this is the very sweet wedding scene.
This is the trailer:
And here is the Wikipedia page about the movie, which was a real investment and risk for the producers:

And I must say that I've seen the lead actor in several other Bollywood movies, and this is his Rainman, by far his very best effort.
Oh, since we are talking Bollywood. My all time favorite is still Laagan, one of the best movies every made, but I'd like some recommendations for other terrific Bollywood movies, a delight every time.
