Via Politico, Vice President Joe Biden put his foot firmly into his mouth. Again.
While visiting New Hampshire today, Biden did his own strange take on getting the base fired up and ready to go by chastising his fellow Democrats for "whining".
Yep, the man with the mangled tongue (mis)spoke at a frozen yogurt plant by sweet talking to those assembled saying that he wanted to “remind our base constituency to stop whining and get out there and look at the alternatives. This President has done an incredible job. He’s kept his promises."

That's it, Mr. Vice President? That's the best you have to inspire us and to encourage us so that we, in turn, can inspire and encourage others as we GOTV? Stop whining and the Republicans are much worse than we are?
Jeebus.
Lest the piling on begin, there are others who share the same dismay that I do about Joe Biden's lack of critical thinking skills.
“ 'It’s idiotic is what it is,” says Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas, one of Obama’s most pointed critics on the left. “If Democrats, with the White House and Congressional super-majorities, had delivered on what they had promised, and if people had jobs, no one would be whining. They have reaped what they sowed. They haven’t delivered on what they’ve promised — and instead of making the case as to why they would do if they are reelected, they are insulting people.
“It’s a far cry from Bill Clinton’s ‘I feel your pain,' he added."

We need to win in November. We want to win in November; however, someone, please, call the White House and give them a BIG hint: Talking down, smacking down and otherwise patronizing the ones who donate, go door-to-door and make the phone calls isn't the way to go especially a few weeks before the mid-terms.
Stop whining, Joe. Instead, why don't you get out there and remind us and the independents and young voters and dispirited Democrats who think that voting is a waste of time why voting for the Democratic candidate is the way to insure change we can believe in.
Updated: I change the title of diary. I forgot about Palin's dig. Anyway, for those who want to accuse me of being a troll check my UI and my history. Thank you.
UPDATE
Huffington Post obtained a transcript of Biden's appearance on Lawrence O'Donnell's new show. O'Donnell gave him an opportunity to clarify his earlier remarks about the base 'whining".
UPDATE: In a taped appearance on Lawrence O'Donnell's MSNBC show "The Last Word," from which The Huffington Post has obtained a transcript, Biden was given a chance to clarify his remarks:
Yes. What I think -- what I mean by -- there's some on the Democratic base, not the core of it, that are angry because we didn't get every single thing they want. We've got a health care bill that is becoming -- every day it will become more apparent how much it does for people and businesses in terms of cost and availability. But because there was no public option, some of them are so angry, they say, we're not going to participate. They should stop that. These guys, if they win -- the other team -- they're going to repeal health care. And I want them to tell me why what we did wasn't an incredibly significant move that's progressive and helping people. It's the same way with a lot of other issues. It's time to focus. This is a choice. The President has done a remarkable job, given the fact that -- you and I had a mutual friend, Pat Moynihan. When Pat Moynihan -- when you were running his show and I was his colleague, a majority in the Senate used to mean 51 votes. Since we've gotten elected, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, there's a new majority in the Senate, 60 votes. What the President has been able to do has been truly remarkable with the help of a Democratic Congress. And so those who don't get -- didn't get everything they wanted, it's time to just buck up here, understand that we can make things better, continue to move forward, but not yield the playing field to those folks who are against everything that we stand for in terms of the initiatives we put forward.

So, you part of the Democratic base but not the core of it, Joe wants you stop whining and 'buck-up".
Btw, Joe the base will vote, it's the Indies and the youth vote and the more casual Democrats who don't read blogs and follow MSNBC who will sit home and not vote in November.
