I watched this ad in a dream last night. It was for a made up congressman, who might also have happened to be an aardvark. That matters little. What matters more is that it's a hit. It's catchy. It has a pithy catch phrase. It has good visuals. It fits in 30 seconds.
'Investing in America'
(Candidate in Office, leaning against the desk)
This year, tax cuts carved out for what are the wealthiest group of citizens in history are set to expire. Know what I want to do with that money?
(walk, set pans as he walks as if theres no wall, to a construction site)
Invest in America, like bringing our bridges up to standards, which employs Mike here and [number] other construction workers here in [state].
(another walk background pan)
Mike, working hard, buys his lunches here in the diner, which now has the business to employ another waitress, Ruth.
(another walk background pan)
Who now has the money to buy her children back-to-school supplies, allowing James to be brought on as a new salesperson down at the store.
(walk background pan back to office)
I'm running for Congress not just because I want to Invest in America, but to ask [Republican opponents name] and the Republicans why they dont.
Paid for by [name] for Congress.
The Republicans want to nationalize this election. I say we do too.
Any thoughts?
