Sarah Palin's mantra, "Don't retreat, reload" as well as her use of cross-hairs designating Democratic officeholders her PAC sought to defeat in elections is part of the escalating talk which alluded to use of violence to win elections. Similar statements have been made by by politicians and Tea Party members.
Sadly Sarah Palin and her followers will never understand, accept or admit their responsibility in what happened in Arizona on January 8, 2011.
But we must take responsibility. We must, as Abraham Lincoln said in his Second Inaugural Address, "do all which may achieve and cherish a just, and a lasting peace, among ourselves, and with all nations."
