You'll know what I mean when you see the video. It speaks for itself.
This is the only "news report" I have seen related to the assassination attempt, in which the reporter imitates the assassin. KFOR-TV of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is a disgrace.
UPDATE: Imagine a drunken hit and run driver killed 6 people and wounded 14 others in your community. You're at home watching the evening news, when a reporter appears on camera behind the wheel of a car. The reporter takes a drink from a whiskey bottle and proceeds down the street running over human-shaped cardboard cutouts. Is this appropriate? Is this "objective" reporting? Nowhere in the report linked above is there a hint that anyone finds the bonanza of gun sales objectionable, worrying, controversial, or dangerous. It is simply a celebration, with a zinger on the end mentioning the sales of once-banned extended magazines in a tone as if it were a baseball score. There's not a single mention of anyone believing that buying firearms is an inappropriate reaction to a firearms attack. In fact, the station takes it even further by having their reporter fire an assault rifle. If Jared Loughner had not murdered 6 people on Saturday, that "reporter" wouldn't have been firing an AR-15 on television tonight.
