Ohio Gov. John Kasich gave his State of the State speech at the Ohio Statehouse this afternoon and a few thousand firefighters, teachers and friends showed up to voice their opinion.
Here's a group outside outside Sen. Joe Shiavoni's office, where they just picked up tickets for the speech:
Some homemade "no on 5" cookies:
Some early arrivals, one a prison guard from the Ross County Department of Corrections:

And more photos...
Hundreds of firefighters marched up to the Statehouse and filled the front steps, led by a pipe and drum corps:
Rep. Dennis Kucinich was in the crowd cheering them on:
Firefighter tsunami!
Some channeled the state up north (note the dagger):

When the speech started people filtered into the Rotunda, which made a great echo chamber:
The House chamber where the speech was given is up the right stairway to the left. The chants and boos were heard clearly in the chamber, providing a kind of Greek chorus for Kasich's 65-minute speech.
Attendees coming down the stairway after the speech, to cheers or jeers depending on who they were:
To Gov. Kasich: "Show your face, show your face..." and "Coward, coward..." (he must have slipped out a back door:
