Democrats are turning up the pressure on non-partisan redistricting. Gianaris appears to be the point man on this one (with an assist from Democratic Party Executive Director Charlie King). The involvement of Charlie King is a good sign. This guy was hand-picked by Cuomo and it may indicate that the Governor is planning to ramp up the pressure on non-partisan redistricting.
On the other side of the aisle, Libous is pleading for more time to deal with redistricting, Ed Cox dodged the issue of redistricting and instead decided to rant about taxes and spending and Lee Zeldin spreads blatant lies about the Redistricting Reform Act of 2011.
Meanwhile good government groups are planning to form their own redistricting committee to critique the job of whoever ends up doing the redistricting in New York.
