Hi, Kossacks, as some of you already know, I've become very involved in the Libyan Revolution and have tried to keep you all updated as much as possible despite being sooooooo busy with tasks aimed at supporting LIBYA AlHurra TV (the 1st Independent TV Station Broadcasting from Inside Libya), Libyan Doctors for Hospitals in Libya, and now, the National Transitional Council of Libya.
Today, the NTC needs your help. We are urging governments around the world to follow France's footsteps and to recognize the NTC as he legitimate political power in Libya. I would like to ask you all to take 5 minutes of your time to help Libyans. Follow me below the fold for easy instructions :)
UPDATE (h/t conchita :): It seems the EU DID NOT pass the resolution to recognize the NTC, but did pass sanctions, from Reuters:
The European Union tightened sanctions on Libya on Thursday and called on Muammar Ghaddafi to step down immediately, but there was sharp disagreement over whether to recognise Libya's anti-Gaddafi movement....
...
"We cannot unilaterally rush into recognising groups," said a spokesman for Catherine Ashton, the EU's foreign affairs chief, a position backed by Britain, Germany, Italy and others.

Dear Sir/Madame,
As a concerned citizen who has been following the situation in Libya closely thanks to LIBYA AlHurra TV, I urge you to follow the French Government’s lead and to recognize the legitimacy and rightful creation of the National Transitional Council of Libya.
As of the first day of its founding, the NTC separated the executive and military powers and recognised the basic human rights of each Libyan citizen.
The messages contained in the decrees that the NTC has issued are full of hope of a better tomorrow, for Libyans and the world.
(Please refer to the documentation enclosed with this mail.)
Dr. Mahmoud Djebril and Mr. Ali Essaoui, both foreign ministers to the NTC and mandated by Mr. Moustafa Mohamed Aboud al-Djeleil, head of the NTC, are anxious to create an open and constructive dialogue with the international community.
As a citizen of XXXXXXXXX, and an active advocate for the democratic system that our nation represents, I wish to urge upon you the necessity to contact Dr Mahmoud Djebril and Mr. Ali Essaoui as soon as possible.
I will be able to provide contact details, if you do not have them.
