Republican Fort Lauderdale, Florida Congresman Allen West held his first town hall gathering since voting for Paul Ryan's draconian budget plan, and tried his best to avoid questions of dissent by going with a format where he only answered questions submitted on index cards. In other words, the voice of the people wasn't welcome at this "town hall."
"How about allowing questions from the audience?" That, it turns out, was the most pertinent question at this town hall meeting, but of course, it wasn't on a pre-selected index card. Former Air America radio host Nicole Sandler was among those in attendance, at least for a few minutes before being arrested - apparently for trespassing at a town hall meeting. There's apparently a law against that now.
