Okay...I am going...just registered...that said...if any out towners want a resource to the best of the best of the Twin Cities...I am your source...
First stop--if you have transportation...Matt's Bar...Jucy Lucy's...best burger in town...and only about 10/15 mins from downtown...though long waits EVERY night...but well worth it...
Look for me...I have always been politically inclined and sometimes activistly inclined...after my recent divorce I am ready to be both again...this a big step for me...unfortunately the layout greatlakesprogressive.com is not going to be very nice as I promote it until I find a sympathetic designer, but it has content quite a bit--all centered around MN, WI, MI...I need to get a good readership to convince a motivated progressive web-designer to do some pro-bono work...just the layout and feel...after that we got it...:)
See you there fellow Kossacks...I made the plunge...also...if anyone needs rides from the airport or anything send me a message...I live 10 mins from the airport and 10 mins from downtown Minneapolis...we're all in this together...:)

I am torn between going and not. Let's weigh the pros and cons
Pros:
I am free that weekend, with only my dog to have to run home to let out
I live very close
Good networking opportunity
Good way to be even more involved
Supports a cause and political philosophy I espouse to.
I can network and market my website that is devoted to local (midwest) progressive political issues.
I am very new to online activism and this would be a good way to gather some more experience and skills.
Cons:
Cost a good amount
I don't anyone else going
I would have to take some time off of work
I am not the most out-going person in face to face situations.
I would feel guilty pimping my website.
I am very new to online activism and as such I am very confident in my product at this point...not my writing, but the quality of my site.
Seen, I am torn--if I want I can afford it, but I don't want to spend that money and just wander around by myself without getting to know anyone to explore with.
That said, if you all can convince me to go...I do house a house with two extra bedrooms if someone needs a place to stay--but I'd be pretty wary of who stays here and they would have to be fond of dogs and (not required) beer.... :)
So convince me!
