Pervez Musharraf is a former army chief and president of Pakistan who overthrew Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in a bloodless coup in 1999 and ruled until his resignation in 2008, when calls for his impeachment escalated. He was credited with developing Pakistan's economy during the early years of his presidency, and, as a former supporter of the Taliban, surprisingly became an ally to the United States during its War on Terror. In 2011, a Pakistani court issued an arrest warrant for Musharraf because of his alleged involvement in former prime minister Benazir Bhutto's assassination. Musharraf lives in self-exile in London but has vowed to return to Pakistan for the next election.
Musharraf is just not a good brand ...He is spending most of his time criss-crossing the United States (US), meeting various local support bases among the expatriate community. I guess his brand value is greatest among ineligible voters...
