Senate Bill No. 1239 raises the tax rates on the middle class in Connecticut by as much as 34%; however, it only increases the tax rate by 3% on all those S&P CEOs in Fairfield County, Malloy's stomping grounds. Sign the petition to protest this inequitable tax law benefitting the super rich.
Connecticut is a great state to live in...if you happen to be filthy rich.
Senate Bill No. 1239 raises the Connecticut income tax rates on the middle class by as much as 34%, but only increases the income tax rate on taxable incomes over $500,000 by a mere 3%. Why do the rich get this teeny weeny increment at the huge expense of the middle class? Is the middle class being singled out to bear the burden of the new budget of Connecticut Governor Dannell Malloy? Why do Governor Dan Malloy's neighbors in Fairfield County--all those Fortune 500 CEOs who earn $12 million per year--only get a 3% increase in their highest marginal tax rate while the middle class wage earner's highest marginal tax rate increases by as much as 34%?!
If you are tired of the rich paying so little in taxes, resulting in these huge deficits and cuts in social services, including education, and layoffs, then it's time for you to speak up and let the Governor know.
Sign the petition to raise taxes on the mega rich in Connecticut, protesting Senate Bill No. 3915's focus on the middle class: scroll down to the bottom of the article and click "sign petition" and then fill in your name, address, and email address.
Let our Connecticut legislators know that you do not approve about the upper class tax breaks at the expense of the middle class and that you are onto their shenanigans.
Yes, it's class warfare, and as Warren Buffett has said, the rich are winning.
Please click the petition and read the article referenced before accusing me of protecting those making $250,000. I am not saying not to increase taxes on the middle class. I am saying that all those S&P CEOs earning $9,000,000 only got a 3% increase in their tax rate while the middle class got slammed! At the federal level, Warren Buffett's effective tax rate is only 11%; the average American's rate is 18%. The middle classes always get slammed with the rich getting off the hook. Sign the petition to tax the filthy rich. That's what the petition is for: to raise the tax rate on the filthy rich to make it equitable. Let's all share the pain and share the sacrifice. Let's make all those Wall Street barons who caused the collapse of 2008 find their wallets and pay up.
