Good evening, all. Please forgive my profanity in the title. In fairness, you'll probably see more of it in the diary.

US Army soldier Stephen Hill asked a question about reinstating Don't Ask Don't Tell. Members of the audience of the Republican debate booed him. They seriously booed him.
FUCK these people. I love this country, warts and all. I love that it's free enough that these idiots can actually say and do things this stupid, in public, while being defended by people like Stephen Hill. I love the fact that we allow, that we demand, that we cannot but expect the freedom to boo a man who protects our right to boo!
Thank you Stephen Hill.
Fuck You, Booing Audience Members.
In what universe does this make sense? Conservatives, Republicans, Tea Partiers all purport to love, support, and admire the troops. in their own way, this seems to be true. However, tonight showed me something scary. These folks may only support the troops who hold the exact same values they do.
It's not love of country! It's love of self. These people are absolutely deranged if they can spend most of their time essentially worshipping soldiers, yet some of their time booing them just because they had the temerity to be themselves whilst risking their fucking lives for the rest of us!
I'm so fucking mad I could spit! People like Stephen Hill have spent the last few decades forced to live a lie so they could serve, protect, and defend maggots like these in the audience who booed.
Democracy! I so love it dearly. I not only won't raise a hand, or my voice, to silence these voices....I'll actually cheer the fact that Stephen Hill, and thousands like him (straight and gay) pick up a rifle and keep it so.
Thank you Stephen Hill. Fuck you, troglodyte idiot booing Republicans!
