The Tea Party tribe are locked and loaded, itching to pull the trigger. They know that government is the enemy, and that they must be ready to start shooting when the government eventually goes too far. For thirty years the Republican Party has effectively use hatred, contempt, and greed to motivate the common man. This has been a war dance of propaganda by radio and TV personalities. The rhetorical prelude to attacking liberalism is remarkably obvious, yet oddly accepted. The Tea Party are not just a voting block, they are a private army, primed for "second amendment solutions".
In the mass shooting in Arizona we see the actions of a "disturbed" individual who jumped the gun. But he was hearing the war drums of the right wing. We read very little about the right wing militias who have "put on the war paint", are well prepared to conduct an armed insurrection. Main stream media are afraid to connect the dots and expose the rise of extremism. There may be some moderate leaders on the right, but they are afraid to confront those employing violent rhetoric or actually arming for a confrontation. All of us remember how Michael Steele was forced to retract his criticism of Rush Limbaugh's extremism. The WAR PARTY is guiding the Republican Party, even if the party leaders do not admit it to themselves.
What sort of spark might set of the widespread armed insurrection that is so prominently discussed?
