Here's an email that John Kerry sent me today. Below is my response.

Subject: Some personal thoughts

Hello Ben, this time of year - and particularly this difficult time when all of our minds are on what happened in Arizona last weekend - call for reflection. And the truth is, we need some real conversation - some honest dialogue - about where we've been these last years and where we're headed, as a country.
This morning I laid out some of my own thoughts - some personal thoughts - and I wanted to share them with all of you. You can see it and read it on the Washington Post by clicking here.
I’ll be back in touch very soon.
John Kerry
Dear John,
Thanks for emailing.
I find your reflection vapid. Democrats like you seem to have given up on gun control, even though it's now so obvious that nuts should not have access to Glock 9's that even Republicans can understand it.
Your lack of leadership is disgusting. Your own colleagues are being shot, yet you are too timid to call for new gun control laws. All because gun control is now considered "politically untenable."
Maybe there is something more important than political viability. I guess if there is, you wouldn't know it.
Good luck to you and the other so-called liberals in the cross-hairs of the Tea Party's sites.
