If I were a reporter at a White House press conference, these are some of the questions I would ask Scottie:
Has anyone on the White House staff invoked the Fifth
Amendment and refused to answer questions by the Valerie
Plame grand jury?
Has anyone on the White House staff received a target letter
from the special counsel conducting the Valerie Plame
investigation?
Will anyone on the White House staff voluntarily agree to
release a transcript of his or her grand jury testimony?
Has anyone on the White House staff refused to release
Robert Novak from any obligation to keep his sources on the
Plame matter confidential?
Has anyone on the White House staff refused to release
Matthew Cooper from any obligation to keep his sources on
the Plame matter confidential?
Has anyone on the White House staff refused to release
Judith Miller from any obligation to keep her sources on the
Plame matter confidential?
Will the President release the White House notes reflecting
his interview with Patrick Fitzgerald?
Will the Vice-President release the White House notes
reflecting his interview with Patrick Fitzgerald?
Will the President pledge not to pardon any official in
connection with the special counsel investigation of the
Valerie Plame leak to Robert Novak?
I guess that's why I'm not a reporter, and why I don't get invited to White House press conferences. :-(
