With the loss of Keith Olbermann's Countdown show it appears as though MSNBC is actually a more leftist network in it's evening lineup.
Keith may have known Comcast would try and oust him and got the current management team to make the changes coming next week before Comcast puts their management in place.
This mornings statement from Comcast may have been true.
"Comcast has not closed the transaction for NBC Universal and has no operational control at any of its properties, including MSNBC," the statement said. "We pledged from the day the deal was announced that we would not interfere with NBC Universal's news operations. We have not & we will not."
With the more reactionary Ed Schultz moving to prime time and Cenk Unger being added during the dinner hour it is apparent that the overall lineup is further to the left than it was.
I believe Keith knew Comcast would try and oust Keith from MSNBC's lineup and he was tired of doing the show. Keith made sure to leave before Comcast would have a chance to establish the new lineup and that is why MSNBC is moving to the left.
