I managed to drop by our OccupyWallStreet solidarity event. I could only stay about an hour because I have a leg problem that prevents me from standing or walking for more than an hour without experiencing severe pain. Also, I needed to do some work today. I'm one of those lucky ones who actually has a job that I like and I want to keep it.
Others will probably submit more detailed diaries on this latter, but I thought I would give a brief update and share some photos.
I talked to one of the transit cops and he told me the estimated crowd size was 1500 and growing. That fits with my estimate of 1000 - 2000 people. One of the favorite chants for this crowd was "WE're mad as hell and we're not gonna take it any more!" Sounds like a great theme for this movement we are building. Without further ado, here's some pics.
