The sixth General Assembly of OccupyBerkeley took place this evening. Some forty or fifty people gathered, enjoying near perfect weather in downtown Berkeley.
The main topic for discussion was tomorrow's (Saturday's) activities. A rally at the OccupyBerkeley site at Center & Shattuck will occur first, at noon. It will be followed by a march around downtown Berkeley which will stop at the four major downtown banks: Chase, Citibank, BofA and Wells Fargo. The march will end at MLK Park on Center and Martin Luther King, to be followed by Saturday's General Assembly.
Bring your friends. Bring your family. Bring your protest signs. Bring your zombie banker outfits. Bring your outrage along with your best non-violence behavior.
Here are some of the chants we'll likely be voicing tomorrow in front of the banks and the usual downtown Berkeley visitors. Other suggestions?
