Michael Moore had a scheduled interview with CNBC today at 11am at the New York Stock Exchange.
According to Michael Moore, CNBC told him that the NYPD wouldn't let them film. On site, the NYPD told Michael Moore that it was a public place, and that he could indeed film. CNBC waffled, saying that it had to do with their satellite trucks, which were not allowed. They explained that they needed to be wired.
Michael's Response?
"It's the 21st century! You aren't wireless yet?"
If there's one thing I'm sure that if Michael has in-depth technical knowledge about any subject, it's cameras. That's sort of what he does for a living.
In any case, they wouldn't give him a straight answer.
We have full video of everything that ensued, as well as some followup questions from our reporters on the ground.
For some reason, CNBC was very, very afraid of interviewing Michael Moore on the steps of the NYSE.
I wonder why? Full video below the fold.
