A friend posted a link to this video on another community site this weekend. I watched it this morning, and loved it. I've long held Robert Thurman in high regard; and when I saw the link that he had addressed OWS at Liberty Park, I had to see it myself. After seeing it, I wanted to share it with you.
In his talk with the occupiers, he touched on many things, reaffirming the rightness and importance of their movement, offering historical and spiritual perspective. It is a long piece, but the crowd gave voice to his words throughout, appreciative of what he shared with them.
I loved what he had to say; and I loved that the crowd there were so receptive of his words.
For those of you unfamiliar with Thurman, there is a brief Wikipedia bio here.
Video below the fold. Again, it's a bit long, but in my view, well worth it. Very good to see him there.
Enjoy!
