From J.P. Morgan Chase:
JP Morgan Chase announced today that it will not charge its customers a $3 monthly debit card fee after testing the charge in Wisconsin and Georgia. The bank announced that it would drop the idea following negative reaction from its customers.
Consumers Union, the nonprofit advocacy arm of Consumer Reports, today commended Chase for its decision and reiterated its call on Bank of America to end its plan to charge a $5 debit card fee beginning in 2012.
The anger of the public against banks is REAL.....
Bank of America and their "we don't give a fuck about our customers" attitude has quietly made many Americans move with their feet to other financial institutions, preferably credit unions.
Earlier this week, the CEO of Bank of America had the audacity to make this statement:
Moynihan, 52, told employees in a global town hall meeting last week from the firm's Charlotte, North Carolina, headquarters that the "place to win the battle" over the bank's battered public image is at the state and municipal level.
[...]
"I, like you, get a little incensed when you think about how much good all of you do, whether it's volunteer hours, charitable giving we do, serving clients and customers well," Moynihan said during the Oct. 18 gathering. To the bank's critics, he said, "You ought to think a little about that before you start yelling at us."
This coming from a CEO of a crooked organization that had to settle with homeowners over
mortgage disputes and customers over
overdraft disputes. This shows you how out of touch this man really is. He is overtly shocked that the public has the nerve to be angry with him and his shoddy corporation. Well, Bank of America will be left out to dry, because these other big banks have read the writing on the wall and understand what
MOVE YOUR MONEY is all about.
They are doing an about face.
JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, U.S. Bank, PNC Financial, and Key Bank have confirmed they are not planning to charge customers debit card fees when they make purchases.
Though it is commendable of you CITIGROUP not to fee your customers for use of a debit card,
will you remove that $20.00 a month fee on a checking account if you don't have $20,000 in it? "crickets", still waiting on an answer for that one.
And seven reasons you should say "adios" to all these banks:
The Seven Deadliest Sins of the Big Banks
1. JPMorgan Chase kicks 54 military families out of their homes—despite a law against doing so.
2. Wells Fargo gives bonuses to loan officers to put minority borrowers into high-priced subprime mortgages—internally dubbed “ghetto loans.”
3. Citigroup, Bank of America, and Goldman Sachs all pay huge fines to settle charges they duped their own clients.
4. Goldman Sachs assists in Europe's economic collapse by helping Greece mask the truth about its finances.
5. JPMorgan turns a blind eye to Bernie Madoff's deceptions.
6. Bank of America pays $137 million to settle government claims it rigged the municipal-bond market.
7. Despite these and other unpardonable sins, banks showers tens of millions of dollars in bonus money on top executives.
For anyone who believes the grassroots effort of
BANK TRANSFER DAY is not affecting these money hungry corporate banks, think again, it is. One thing that banks care about is the bottom line, MONEY. Your money that they use to invest for their corporate profits. Since, these big banks don't care about you, why should you care about them. It is as simple as that.

HUMOR AND INFORMATION HERE:
oh and this from the facebook Bank Transfer Page:
I closed both my Suntust accounts two weeks ago and my husband closed his B.O.A. accounts as well...we moved to the credit union. This is our last stop before we begin to keep everything in a safe and start paying with money orders. I am tired of getting dry humped by these greedy banks. They got enough money from us already for their bail out, and how did they thank their customers for their hard earned tax dollars you ask? They raised their prices, raised the interest they collect off of YOU, raised their fee's and charge more for checks, debit cards and other incidentals. No more for us thank you. Enough is ENOUGH!
Now I can dig this....
