For some its all is okay as long as you have yours..for others what's even better is when you have yours, have helped put others on the street, and you can combine the two in a PAAARRRTTTTTEEEE!
Leading New York foreclosure firm Steven J. Baum decided to throw a Halloween Party last year but the "scary people" were the one's they had destroyed.
Join me after the squiqqle to see what Trick or Treat looks like in a homeowners hell.
Steven J. Baum loves putting people out of their homes, the goal is foreclosure, not what can be done to prevent the catastrophe for families, but just get them out.
The firm has been under investigation by the New York Attorney Generalâs Office and recently paid $2 million to settle a US Department of Justice investigation.
TPM links to a story by NYT writer Joe Nocera who was sent photos of last years Baum Halloween party. They pretty much say it all.TPM
I'm sure these employees and their bosses had a great time over-indulging, being well-fed and telling each other how special they are whilst gloating over the pain of the 99%
When the firm was contacted about these photos they issued the following statement:
“It has been suggested that some employees dress in … attire that mocks or attempts to belittle the plight of those who have lost their homes,” the statement read. “Nothing could be further from the truth.” It described this column as “another attempt by The New York Times to attack our firm and our work.”
Amazing that the best they can come up with is a blatant lie (the photos are there for all to see) and to blame the Times for bringing them to light. The old "Its your fault. No one would know what we are really like if you hadn't told them" defense.
If they wanted ghouls for their Halloween Party they only had to look in the mirror.
Steven J. Baum's website is down for "maintenance" though I found these numbers in a cached image:
