So the street artist who brought us (and the Obama campaign) the iconic image of 2008 says he isn't inclined to do the same for the 2012 Obama campaign:
"I made art for Obama in 2008 because I thought Obama was a foot in the door for policies that took the country in the direction I thought it should go, and he was far superior than any of the Republicans. I'm not against Obama, but I'm working on direct support for issues I care about, rather than for Obama, because I feel a little let down by Obama. I think Obama's shown a little bit more spine towards defending the rights of the average person recently, but I think he's got to do more than that. And I'd rather put my effort where I know it actually is involved with people who are doing it. So that's what I'm trying to do right now." [video link below the orange swizzle]

I share Shepard Fairey's sentiments. I'm going to concentrate my efforts and contributions on Congressional and even a few local races. Do I have enthusiasm for Obama... or even fear that he won't be able to rustle up enough Wall Street donations to beat whomever the Republicans choose... not so much.
Visit Shepard Fairey's site, and download some of the free posters he's putting out in support of OWS... then print them out and spread them around (legally, of course).
