And if a child can understand this, therefore, possibly even a member of the media could ... although I have reservations regarding Fox News reporters.
Do you remember the Dr. Seuss story Yertle the Turtle? On the far island of Sala-ma-Sond, Yertle is king of the pond. But desires to be king of more, so he stacks up turtles atop the rock that serves as his throne, and proclaims himself ruler of all he can see from his higher perch. Of course, his new "subjects" don't know they are being ruled, but that's another story. At the bottom of the stack of 9 turtles making his new higher throne is one named "Mack".
But then Yertle decides he needs to go higher, and stacks up 200 turtles atop poor Mack. Yertle is delighted at his new view and his new "domain"; at the bottom, Mack complains but is shouted at by a completely unsympathetic Yertle. Mack is hungry and has back pains (he clearly needs a public option) and is under a crushing weight (of debt?).
Then Yertle sees the moon rise and is jealous that the moon is higher than he - and calls for an additional 5,607 turtles. Which brings us to Mack's #OWS moment.
But, as Yertle, the Turtle King, lifted his hand
And started to order and give the command,
That plain little turtle below in the stack,
That plain little turtle whose name was just Mack,
Decided he’d taken enough. And he had.
And that plain little lad got a bit mad.
And that plain little Mack did a plain little thing.
He burped!
And his burp shook the throne of the king!
All those people who are Occupying? They've taken enough, oh yes they have. And they've gotten a little bit mad, and are doing a plain little thing. OK, some of them speak a little more eloquently than a burp ... but the idea remains.
Oh, and how did things turn out for Mack?
And today the great Yertle, that Marvelous he,
Is King of the Mud. That is all he can see.
And the turtles, of course… all the turtles are free
As turtles and, maybe, all creatures should be.

Mack the Turtle has a Facebook page.
Here's John Lithgow reading the story:
Oh, and for your Godwin pleasure - Seuss based Yertle upon Hitler.
