Statewide Results: KY | ME | MS | NJ | NY | OH | PA | VA
Specific Races: AZ-SD-18 | IA-SD-18 | MI-HD-51 | OR-01
Called races: All KY statewide races (D), except Ag Commish (James Comer, R) | All MS statewide races (R), except AG (Jim Hood, D) | OH Issue 2 (good guys) | ME Question 1 (good guys) | MS Initiative 26 (good guys)
7:42 PM PT: Virginia state Senate: Good news: AP calls SD-38 for Puckett (D). Bad news: AP calls SD-20 for Bill Stanley (R).
7:50 PM PT: New York count executive races: Poloncarz (D) leading 53-47 in Erie; Brooks (R) leading 56-44 in Monroe; Dem leading 55-45 in Suffolk.
7:55 PM PT: Huge lead for Dem Liz Mathis in IA-SD-18 (better link): Up 64-35 with 38% reporting.
7:58 PM PT: Local media has called the Arizona recall for challenger Jerry Lewis, who defeats state Sen. Russell Pearce. Both are Republicans, but Pearce was the author of the state's infamous anti-immigration law, so it's good to see him go down.
8:01 PM PT: All precincts in in VA-SD-17: Dem Houck has 204-vote lead. Should hold, which would likely let Dems retain control of the Senate.
8:02 PM PT: We haven't paid much attention to it so far, but control of the MS state House is also up for grabs. While there are still a number of races with few precincts reporting, Republicans are on pace to win the House of Representatives. If current results hold, the GOP will gain nine seats in the House. They needed to pick up seven seats.
8:06 PM PT: Local media is calling IA-SD-18 for Democrat Liz Mathis! Huge win!
8:07 PM PT: Oh christ. The VA SBE is now showing Ed Houck losing. It seems maybe some absentees just got added to the pile. This is very bad news.
8:11 PM PT (Kaili Joy Gray): The liveblog continues in thread #10.
