Good Morning Kossacks and Welcome to Morning Open Thread
We're here every morning between 6:30 and 7:00. Feel free to volunteer to take a day - permanent or just once in awhile. With the autopublish feature you can set it and forget it. Quite often the diarist de jour shows up much later, that's the beauty of Open Thread...it carries on without you! Just let us know in the comments.
Doing one of these diaries is a good way to get your feet wet if you have been hesitant about writing a diary. You can write as much or as little as you want. The audience here is always supportive.
Originally, I had another diary planned, but history intervened. So this is going to be short and sweet. With a few breaks, yesterday I spent from 5:30 am until late in the evening watching history unfold in New York City.
Kossack, Hank NYC set up a Ustream channel for the NYC. Here is the link for that Ustream channel. I want to give a big shout out to Tim who did a 20 to 21 hour straight through stint continuously reporting on Ustream. As of 8:30 pmTuesday night that I am writing this, there are currently about 4,000 people in Zuccotti Park.
Mayor Bloomberg shut down the occupation Monday night and Tuesday night there were even more people than I have ever seen in the Park. This movement is not going away. So that is what is on and occupying my mind.
What is on your mind today?
