"abstinence ed programs omit the scientific data and replace it with religion-based beliefs about how God expects people to behave. That should not be taught in public schools, but in churches.”
Faith is the active substitution of belief for knowledge.
Religions use the target's imagination to get hold of their belief tool which should be used to acquire knowledge and not to supplant it. Once the religion gets hold of the belief tool, knowledge is no longer required by the speaker or the audience. Belief is knowledge and faith in the belief is sufficient to base decisions upon. Teaching someone to base decisions upon faith instead of knowledge is an act of evil. Using the imagination and the belief tool of another person is no less abusive than using their body without consent. It is inalienable that a person has exclusive use of the body which they operate and the tools of imagination and belief which they use to discover knowledge.
Perhaps we should allow these franchised corporations to abuse their beguiled recruits in churches. The very last place to let a religion sourced program of any kind, type or description is in out schools where they have access to the most vulnerable population of all.
