Nurse Kelley's community quilt
For a long time, Nurse Kelley has blessed this community with loving support of members' health -- with information, with hand holding and kind words, with the rallying of the troops if necessary. She's moved mountains for us. More than one of us has had a positive reversal of health issues because of her -- and I count myself in that number. This angel of a woman is a lifesaver.
Now she needs something from us. Let me explain the situation and then I will give you Kelley's request.
For more than a season now, Nurse Kelley has had trouble breathing. She's been to specialists and the problem has never fully resolved. Now she has a greater problem. Following days of gastric pain, she lost the ability to eat solid foods. For more than a week now, she has been living on canned nutritional supplements. A visit to the ER this past week was not only hellish but completely non-productive, adding to greater delays in getting the help she needs. However, Tuesday Kelley has an appointment at her gastroenterologist's office -- and with any luck, she'll be immediately scheduled for the tests and treatments she urgently needs. And because it is Thanksgiving week, her son and daughter-in-law will be there to advocate for her.
She has three days to wait -- and she feels like hell. She feels like hell and she is terribly afraid.
Here is what she needs and requests from us. When one of us has a dire problem, Kelley goes up to Pike's Peak and prays. And she lets loose our woes on her Cursing Tree. She asks that if you have an equivalent of a place like Pike's Peak or a Cursing Tree, please go and pray or meditate or focus your intent for her health and that she gets the care she needs right away. Pray for the return of her health. Whether it is an altar, a church, a circle, a pipe, or a wooded space that you pray at, with or in, please do this for this precious gift of a woman. We love her so much. We need her. Please do this for her.
Kelley is quite weak right now and may not be able to reply to your comments below at this time -- but know she is receiving your love and what you have to say in her support matters very much. Your love is very powerful.
Namaste and thank you from my heart.
