I just felt the need to start doing these, since nobody else is, at least each Sunday (the show is also on Saturday as well) when his new MSNBC show is on from 7-9 AM CST.
If you have not watched it, or think there isn't any good news programs on (and you wouldn't be wrong in thinking that) you are missing out. Basically the show is as simple as you get. Chris has on four guests for two hours, a couple shorter interviews throughout, and they just talk about a handful of topics. They actually give a topics an extended period of time and not just a couple minutes.
The best example of this format was the weekend Muammar Gaddafi was killed. They went to a live feed from Libya that wasn't translated yet. Breaking news. One of the panel members starts to translate in real time and then 3 of the four people break into a conversation in Arabic.
See his guests on to talk about Libya could speak the language and were actually from the region, not just a bunch of "white" folks like myself that don't really know what we are talking about.
Heck I went to a blog of a conservative he had on the show a few weeks back and the guy said something like, "I wasn't sure what to expect, since Chris is a liberal. But we actually had an adult conversation. It was refreshing."
So below the fold enjoy Up with me, so I don't have to watch it by myself :).
His guest this week include:
Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN); Bob Herbert (Formerly of the New York Times); Melissa Harris-Perry (MSNBC); Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH).
