This is just too good! The video is hard to hear, but it depicts two conversations that citizens have with Scott Walker at a Christmas gathering. In the first one, a young man, Arthur Louis, smiles and shakes Walker's hand. Walker is all teeth. Arthur thanks him and says:
I appreciate all the work you have done in bringing Wisconsin together. (nods: "Why, thank you!") The holidays are times for love and compassion, so please, don't be a Scrooge… we will recall you! (nods: "You bet! Nice to have you here!")
Then a nice woman, Mary Jo comes up. Someone on Facebook commented that she was the woman with a cellphone arrested in the Capitol. (true?). She is very sincere and says:
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I truly mean this. Thank you very much for igniting the fire of the Occupy movement in this country. I think it's really gonna bring it to the best place that this country has ever seen. (at this point, 41 sec, notice the looks on Scott, the woman next to him and the man's faces). And I want to invite you to our general assembly.. they're four times a week. Do you know about them? ("I've been out and around the state and, erm…"). Do you know about the Occupy Movement happening in Wisconsin? ("sure, I've seen it around there…"). We're not far from you, were on East Wash ("sure")… so come visit… generally assemblies, there's four of them.
You have to admire the poise of Arthur and Mary Jo. These are the out of state union thugs that Walker always mentions on television. These are the people that he won't listen to or talk to. These are the people whose rights are being systematically destroyed by his disgraceful assaults on First Amendment rights.
Mr Walker: "Don't be a Scrooge, we will recall you!"
